CoinDesk recently announced the 2022 ranking of the 50 universities with the biggest impact on blockchain. More than 240 universities and institutions were examined based on four categories: scholarly impact, campus blockchain offerings, employment and industry outcomes and academic reputation.
Among all categories, PolyU ranked strongly in scholarly impact, campus blockchain offerings and academic reputation. In 2022, PolyU recorded the highest number of publications of blockchain research papers and citations. COMP also offers the first MSc in Blockchain Technology programme in Hong Kong, and has established the first Research Centre for Blockchain Technology which covers comprehensive blockchain techniques and cross-disciplinary research.
