Ms. Olivia Yeung, Assistant Professor of Practice

Ms. Olivia Yeung is currently Assistant Professor of Practice of the Speech Therapy Unit in the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from The University of Hong Kong and qualified as a speech therapist. She later received her Master of Philosophy from The University of Hong Kong, with her research focusing on aphasia treatment.

 

Ms. Yeung started her professional career as speech therapist at a non-governmental organization, serving children with communication disorders. She later joined the private sector, where she further developed her clinical expertise in delivering speech therapy to preschool and school-age children with an array of speech, language and literacy disorders. Ms. Yeung has been involved in communication rehabilitation training on adults with acquired disorders since she joined PolyU. She currently focuses on clinical speech therapy education, supervising student speech therapists’ clinical practicum.

 

Ms. Yeung is a Full Member of The Hong Kong Association of Speech Therapists.

 

Ms. Yeung is fluent in Cantonese and English.
