To celebrate the arrival of the Lunar New Year, the Alumni Running and Jogging Club organised the “Stride into the Year of the Horse” Run on the morning of 28 February 2026. The event brought together 40 energetic alumni for a unique team challenge along the scenic waterfront of the East Coast Boardwalk in North Point.
Undeterred by the drizzle, participating alumni arrived promptly in their running gear and attended a briefing led by Mr Guohui Chen and Prof. Vincent Leung, Core Members of the Club. They then formed teams on site and ran together to complete a total distance of 20.26 km along the boardwalk, symbolising a fresh start to 2026.
All teams accomplished their mission and received souvenirs to mark the occasion. More than just a run, the event embodied unity, strength, and the PolyU spirit, setting a positive tone for the Year of the Horse.
