On 3 March 2026, the Annual General Meeting 2026 of PolyU Beijing Alumni Network was successfully held in Beijing. Representatives from the Mainland Development Office and the Beijing Centre, the 2nd Executive Committee members, candidates for the 3rd Executive Committee, and Network members attended the meeting. The meeting was organised online, chaired by Mr. Cai Lingfeng, Secretary of the 2nd Executive Committee. The 3rd Executive Committee, consists of 35 members, was elected at the Meeting.
Immediately following the election, the first meeting of the 3rd Executive Committee was convened. All members unanimously approved the nomination of 15 principal office bearers, and Dr. Shen Peng was unanimously elected as President. Dr. Shen Peng received his PhD in Hotel and Tourism Management from PolyU in 2022 and was awarded the Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award in 2024. He is currently the Founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Waterdrop Inc.
