On 20 July 2019, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) celebrated the establishment of its sixth Alumni Network in the Chinese mainland, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Beijing Alumni Network, with some 220 distinguished guests and alumni at China World Hotel, Beijing. Dr Miranda Lou, PolyU Executive Vice President, and Mr John Leung, Director, Beijing Office, The Government of the HKSAR, officiated at the event.
The ceremony was well attended by the VIPs and PolyU alumni. PolyU President Professor Jin-Guang Teng sent a congratulatory message to the Beijing Alumni Network. Dr Miranda Lou, PolyU Executive Vice President, gave a welcome remark at the celebration dinner and encouraged alumni to get connected with the University, and all Alumni Networks to cooperate with each other.
Representatives from PolyU Pearl River Delta Alumni Network, Shanghai Alumni Network, Tongli Alumni Network from Xi’an, Zhejiang University – PolyU Joint Center Alumni Network from Hangzhou, and Renmin University of China – PolyU Doctor of Management Alumni Network, together with representatives from other Hong Kong universities’ Beijing alumni networks joined in congratulating the PolyU Beijing Alumni Network.
