Mr WONG Kai-tai
Senior Superintendent (Health Care), Correctional Services Department, The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China
Mr Wong has demonstrated strong professionalism in the field of nursing as Senior Superintendent (Health Care) of the Correctional Services Department (CSD). Since joining the CSD in 2005, he has implemented programmes for smoking cessation, and for the screening and treatment of Hepatitis C among persons in custody. He also provides career talks for nursing students and training sessions for CSD nursing staff. In September 2025, Mr Wong enrolled in a master’s degree in Public Policy co-organised by the Civil Service College and Peking University for senior civil servants. He continues to support the School of Nursing by co-organising career promotion visits for students to correctional institutions, participating as an alumni interviewee for the School’s newsletter and promotional videos, and serving as a guest speaker at career talks and activities organised by the School.
Dr SHU Yun-hao
Executive Director, Hygiene First Company Limited
Dr Shu has contributed significantly to entrepreneurship and community service in the healthcare industry in both Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he established Hygiene First Company Limited to operate community vaccination centres, and manage clinical and pharmaceutical waste. The company has since expanded to provide elderly care services, outsourced healthcare staffing, and staff training programmes in Hong Kong. He is also the founder of the Healthcare Education and Social Welfare Association (Greater Bay Area), which has launched free support programmes to promote students’ psychological well-being and health awareness throughout the region. Dr Shu has maintained strong support for PolyU. His contributions include financial sponsorship for the international conference “Reimagining Transfer: Global Insights on Credit Mobility in the New Higher Education Paradigm” organised by PolyU in 2025. He has also provided academic and strategic input through his role as Chair of the Research Committee for a mental health training programme involving 15 universities and institutions, including PolyU. His engagement reflects a sustained commitment to advancing education and mental health initiatives within the university community.
