Dr Lau has demonstrated strong strategic leadership as Head of the Student Affairs Office (SAO) at the PolyU College of Professional and Continuing Education, consistently supporting the College’s commitment to holistic student development. Under his guidance, the SAO has spearheaded a wide range of initiatives across six key domains: (1) Contribution and Services, (2) Counselling Services, (3) Global Exposure, (4) Leadership and Future Skills, (5) Physical Wellness, and (6) Psychological Wellness. These efforts are designed to support students’ growth and equip them with the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to pursue their personal and professional goals and to contribute to society. Dr Lau’s impact is particularly evident in his ability to conceptualise and deliver student engagement initiatives that align with the College’s long-term priorities. Recognising the importance of a vibrant campus life, he has introduced a series of inclusive programmes – such as the Sustainable Fashion Show, Singing Contest, Chinese Culture Festival, and Across Life and Death Expo – that have enriched the student experience. These initiatives foster a lively and supportive campus atmosphere while offering students opportunities for personal development, creative expression, and community involvement.

Mr Yeung began his career with DKSH Hong Kong Limited in 2010 as a Management Trainee and has since progressed to Senior Director of Supply Chain Management for Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China. In this role, he oversees supply chain operations across these three markets, managing a workforce of more than 250 employees and facilities totalling over 1 million square feet. He also leads the development of customised logistics solutions, with a particular focus on cross-border solutions for prospective third-party logistics clients. Throughout his tenure at DKSH, Mr Yeung has led numerous sustainability and innovation initiatives, including warehouse process modernisation, the introduction of green pallets, the digitalisation of ordering systems, and the development of end-to-end emissions tracking solutions.

Prof. Zhang is Professor of Information Systems at the School of Management, Harbin Institute of Technology. His research focuses on generative artificial intelligence, electronic health, and the platform economy. His work has been published in leading journals including MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, the Journal of the Association for Information Systems, the European Journal of Information Systems, and Information & Management. He has achieved an h-index of 30 according to Google Scholar. Prof. Zhang has received several best paper recognitions, including the Best Paper Award in Healthcare IT at the International Conference on Information Systems, a Best Paper nomination at the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, and a Best paper nomination from the European Journal of Information Systems. He also serves as an Associate Editor, Editorial Board Member, and Session Chair for multiple international journals and conferences.
