Dr Xincheng WANG

Research Assistant Professor

Biography

Xincheng WANG is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Before joining PolyU, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Hong Kong from 2020 to 2026.

He received his Doctor of Philosophy in Finance from the PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University (2015–2020), and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the School of Business, Renmin University of China (2011–2015).

His research focuses on ESG, artificial intelligence, financial technology, and field experiments. His works have been published in top journals including Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, China’s core finance and management journals such as Journal of Financial Research and Management World. He has also co-authored a book on decentralized finance.

He has rich teaching experience at doctoral, master and EMBA levels, covering financial innovation, empirical corporate finance, financial statement analysis and research methodology in finance, economics and accounting.
