Biography

Dr Maqsood Ahmad is a Research Assistant Professor (RAP) at School of Accounting and Finance, Faculty of Business, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University's (PolyU), Hong Kong. Before joining as a RAP, he was a post-doctoral researcher at PolyU. He holds a PhD in Management Sciences (with a specialization in Finance) from the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, at International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan.

He has a broad research interest in accounting and finance. His research interest includes ESG, corporate social responsibility, sustainability of SMEs, green investments/sustainable investments, climate risk management, carbon accounting, behavioral economics, and finance. His research works have appeared in well-reputed journals ranked by ABS, ABDC, Scopus, and Web of Science, including Management Decision, International Journal of Emerging Markets, International Journal of Social Economics, and Qualitative Research in Financial Markets, among others. His research works have been recognized with awards such as the Emerald Literati Award for Excellence and Best Paper Award at International Conference. Dr Ahmad has been serving as a research referee for several international scientific journals.
