The Aviation Engineering Laboratory is established to:

(1) provide a facility for experiment, practical training and demonstrations of theoretical concepts in aeronautical and aviation engineering in particularly related to aerodynamics, gas turbine engine working principle and performance, and flight performance and flight training.

(2) provide a facility for the research, innovation and development of ideas, theories and technologies that contributes to the sustainable development and advancement of the Aeronautical and aviation engineering and the aviation industry.

In the Aviation Engineering Laboratory, students will be able to conduct experiments with an open wind tunnel, a gas turbine, and a virtual turbofan engine test bench to enhance their knowledge in aerodynamics and air-breathing propulsion system. In addition, students will have the opportunity to gain flight experience from flight simulators.
