Study Pattern

A common first semester would be mostly used to teach students the core compulsory subjects and a choice amongst a few select electives from within department or elsewhere across PolyU. During the second semester students, based on their preferred pathway, choose appropriate courses fitting their study plan. Additionally, in the second, and third summer term – students would plan, and work on their final project. For those seeking an internship, they can take it on their fourth semester studying.

Part-time students would be taking classes that are offered to full-time students as their schedules allow over two years to finish the programme.

Classes are normally held during the daytime on weekdays, except for a few compulsories and electives. Students should refer to the timetable of individual subjects for the exact class time.
