To celebrate our Exco members’ incredible commitment throughout the Sustainability Young Leaders (SYL) Enrichment Programme, a completion ceremony was successfully held at the Henderson on 26 May 2025.
We were honoured to have Prof. Horace Mui, Interim Dean of Students, Miss Joyce Cheung, Section Head (Student Resources and Support), Dr Edward Chan, Chairman of Engineers Without Borders Hong Kong (EWB-HK), Ms. Lauren Yang, Vice Chairman of Urban Sustainability Committee, EWB-HK and Ms. Hazel Cheng, Project Manager (Sustainability) from Henderson Land Development Co. Ltd. join us in congratulating the members' outstanding achievement and dedication in environmental leadership. Following the certificate presentation, Miss Haley Kwok, one of our Exco members, shared her transformative learning experiences gained from the programme.
We also invited Ms. Joanne Chu, Conservation Officer for Ocean Sustainability at the World Wide Fund for Nature, to deliver an engaging thematic talk on biodiversity and sustainable development. She shared her experiences from the United Nations COP 16 Biodiversity Conference. This evening provided a wonderful opportunity for our Exco members to connect with peers and mentors, fostering new relationships and collaborations to advance our mission as sustainability leaders.
