At the Chinese Yangming Cultural Park, participants gained insights into Chinese philosophy, enriching their cultural awareness. They also explored cutting-edge technology at the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope and the National Big Data (Guizhou) Comprehensive Experimental Zone, exposing them to innovative developments in science and technology.
A highlight of the trip was the visit to Guizhou University, where Prof. James Dai, Associate Dean of Students, officiated a plaque unveiling ceremony to establish a joint national education base. The flag-raising ceremony allowed PolyU students to collaborate with their Guizhou University counterparts, fostering teamwork and cultural exchange. A seminar on flag-raising etiquette and drill training further enhanced their skills and techniques.
Overall, this trip significantly deepened participants’ understanding of China’s rich heritage, while fostering a stronger sense of national identity and pride.
