鍾端玲教授分享「多功能碳纖維」技術的多角度探索

紐約州立大學水牛城分校鍾端玲教授於2024年12月17日在香港理工大學校園主講第33場理大高等研究院傑出講座，講題為「具有導電性、介電性和電感的多功能碳纖維」。講座吸引近百名現場及網上參加者，以及來自不同國家和地區超過12,800名觀眾通過嗶哩嗶哩、微信、微博和YouTube等多個社交媒體平台觀看直播。

未來食品研究院協辦學術會議　論「健康中國2030」願景轉化為行動

理大未來食品研究院、食品科學及營養學系，與香港營養學會合作，於2024年12月14日在理大校園合辦「香港營養學會45週年學術會議」，吸引了超過120名來自內地、香港及澳門的學生、研究人員、業界專家和醫療專業人士參與。

RCRE: ReACT2024 successfully held (只有英文版本)

The 1st International Conference on Research and Application of Carbonation Technology for Wastes and Concrete (ReACT2024) was successfully held from 11 to 14 December 2024 on PolyU campus. The Conference was jointly organized by the Research Centre for Resources Engineering towards Carbon Neutrality (RCRE) and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) of PolyU together with the Solid Waste and Eco-material Subcommittee of the Chinese Ceramic Society. The Conference attracted more than 270 academics, researchers, industrial professionals, government officials and postgraduate students from all over the world, including Australia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mainland China, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, and United States.

On 9 December 2024, Prof. Xiangrong WANG, Director and Distinguished Professor, Centre for Urban Eco-Planning & Design, Fudan University, China, delivered an online Public Lecture titled “Urban Ecological Security and Green Development”. This lecture was co-organised by the Research Institute of Land and Space (RILS) and the Research Centre for Nature-based Urban Infrastructure Solutions (RNUS) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

The 4th International Symposium of Water Disaster Mitigation and Water Environment Regulation cum the 14th South China Sea Tsunami Workshop were successfully held in Hong Kong from 29 November to 2 December 2024. This joint event was co-organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Sichuan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Research Institute for Sustainable Urban Development (RISUD), Research Institute for Land and Space (RILS), and supported by IAHR-HK Chapter, IAHR-China Chapter and relevant government departments of Hong Kong SAR.

中國科學院院士、深圳零一學院創始院長兼清華大學深圳國際研究生院教授鄭泉水教授於2024年11月21日在香港理工大學校園主講第31場PAIR傑出講座，講題為「二十年跨界創新研究的反思與建議」。

Philip RUSSELL教授分享光子晶體光纖的研究和應用

中國杭州羅素先進光波科學中心科學主任Philip RUSSELL教授，於2024年11月5日於香港理工大學（理大）校園主講理大高等研究院第30場傑出講座，講題為「30年的光子晶體光纖科研旅程」。是次講座吸引了逾80名參加者到場參與，以及超過12,500人次於世界各地透過嗶哩嗶哩、微信、微博及YouTube多個社交媒體平台觀看直播。

「理大高等研究院創科論壇」圓滿舉行

理大高等研究院於2024年10月19日「理大創科X校友日2024」成功舉辦壓軸活動「創科論壇」。在論壇上，研究院十八個轄下研究單位的代表，包括研究院院長和副院長，以及研究中心主任和副主任，介紹其研究單位及科研成果。論壇吸引了逾二百名參加者到場參與，以及超過28,800人次於世界各地透過嗶哩嗶哩、微信、微博及YouTube多個社交媒體平台觀看直播。
