RCMI - International Botanical Symposium 2026 (只有英文版本)

The Research Centre for Chinese Medicine Innovation (RCMI) proudly hosted the International Botanical Symposium 2026 on 7–8 January 2026 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The event welcomed over 100 participants, both in person and online, for two days of inspiring presentations and meaningful discussions.

RIQT: Quantum HK 2025 (只有英文版本)

As a pivotal hub fostering international research collaboration between the Greater Bay Area and the rest of the world, Hong Kong serves as a unique intermediary in driving the innovation and translation of quantum technologies. The “International Conference on Quantum Technology 2025” (Quantum HK 2025), hosted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), has recently concluded, having attracted more than 200 experts, scholars, researchers and industry leaders. The Conference fostered in-depth discussion on cutting-edge breakthroughs and future developments in quantum technologies, further expanding the breadth and depth of academic exchange and academia-industry collaboration. The event’s co-organisers were The University of Hong Kong (HKU), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), the Physical Society of Hong Kong, and the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre.

The 1st World Congress on Sports Science and Technology (WCSST) took place on 29 November - 2 December 2025 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).

The 1st International Symposium on Smart•HAPPI Ageing: Healthy, Active, Positive, Prepared, and Independent (只有英文版本)

Research Institute for Smart Ageing (RISA) and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University jointly hosted The 1st International Symposium on Smart•HAPPI Ageing: Healthy, Active, Positive, Prepared, and Independent on 28 November 2025 to advance the field of smart and healthy ageing. The event drew enthusiastic participation from leading academics, industry professionals, and experts worldwide, highlighting the growing global interest and commitment to smart ageing initiatives.

精神健康研究中心: 首屆大灣區腦圖譜會議圓滿結束

香港理工大學（理大）精神健康研究中心與香港浸會大學生命科學成像中心於2025年11月7日共同主辦了第一屆大灣區腦圖譜會議。是次活動於理大校園進行，吸引逾200位現場參與者，以及超過21,949名線上觀眾透過多個社交媒體平台同步收看。

理大舉辦「全球智慧城市峰會暨第四屆國際城市信息學大會」　發布2025年智慧城市指數

為期三天的會議邀得逾240位知名學者及資深業界人士分享他們對城市信息學和智慧城市的真知灼見和研究創新，預計將有逾600位來自世界各地學者和不同界別人士出席。活動邀得國際知名科學家作主題演講，並設政府和產業論壇、技術創新展覽，以促進「官產學研」在智慧城市領域的合作。

RISE: World Fuel Cell Conference (只有英文版本)

This year, Hong Kong which is a cosmopolitan and energetic city, was selected to oragnise the WFCC 2025! The conference was chaired by Prof. Meng Ni, the Head of Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering and a member of the management committee of Research Institute for Smart Energy (RISE) of PolyU, and was co-chaired by Prof. Liang An (PolyU), Prof. Mengying Li (PolyU), Prof. Jian Wang (CityU), Prof. Weihong Li (CityU), Prof. Xianguo Li (University of Waterloo) and Prof. Jianbo Zhang (Tsinghua University). Miss Kate Fung served as the secretariat for the conference.

智齡研究院及珠海市神經科學學會協辦的第六屆聚焦超聲神經調控（FUN25）會議

由國際經顱超聲刺激安全與標準聯盟（iTRUSST）委託，香港理工大學生物醫學工程學系主辦，智齡研究院及珠海市神經科學學會協辦的第六屆聚焦超聲神經調控（FUN25）會議於2025年7月9至11日圓滿結束。 透過舉辦講座和展覽，會議成功匯聚各地專家及業界領袖在聚焦超聲神經的領域上互相交流。

PolyU and HKAABJU co-organise “Together with Scientists” thematic event, featuring talks by Nobel laureates sharing their cutting-edge research ideas

Dr Elizabeth LEE, HKAABJU President, accompanied Prof. Andre GEIM, 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics and Prof. Harvey James ALTER, 2020 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine to the PolyU campus, where the two Nobel laureates shared their outstanding research outcomes and unique insights in their respective fields of research during their keynote presentations.
