The Canvas workshop for students will cover the Canvas mobile app, student navigation within course materials, how to check instructor communication through announcements and assignment due dates on the calendar, how to submit assignments, how to find grades, as well as how to utilize discussions to learn from classmates.
The Canvas workshop for instructors will cover core Canvas course functions and tools, including
- Arranging course materials by unit, topic, or teaching week to guide students through learning pathways
- Managing assignments and quizzes, tracking student progress, and providing feedback using Gradebook
- Communicating with class students via announcements and discussions.
- Customizing navigation, adding TAs and configuring course details
- Creating student groups and personalizing learning journeys based on student performance in assessments
