Summary

This workshop provides instructors with a step-by-step guide on how to prepare course content for Canvas and import content from Blackboard LMS, including archiving a course package in Blackboard, uploading it to Canvas, and reviewing imported course materials.

Objectives

This workshop aims to teach instructors to prepare and export a zipped file containing course contents from Blackboard LMS on their own; accurately locate their course for the successful import; and review and verify imported contents.

What You Will Learn

• How to export your course as a ZIP file from Blackboard LMS in either Original View or Ultra Course View on your own

• How to utilize the "Import Existing Content" tool for the import to Canvas in your targeted course
• How to understand the status of your import process
• How to map Blackboard content areas to their corresponding Canvas destinations
