(1) Microsoft Enrolment for Education Solutions (EES)
Under the Microsoft Enrolment for Education Solutions (EES) centrally coordinated by ITS, the University has entered into an institution‑wide licensing agreement with Microsoft for eligible staff usage.
Products and services covered
The EES includes the following Microsoft products and services for institutional use:
A. End‑user software
- Windows Enterprise Upgrade (Education) for University‑owned PCs
- Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise (Education)
B. Microsoft cloud and security services (user‑based entitlements)
- Azure Information Protection Plan 2
- Azure Active Directory features, including multi‑factor authentication (MFA)
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Plan 2
- Microsoft Entra ID Plan 2
- Power BI Pro
These services are provided as part of Microsoft’s education enterprise offering.
C. On‑premises access licences for centrally managed systems
- Windows Server Client Access Licences (CALs)
- System Center Client Management Licences, including:
- Data Protection Manager (DPM)
- Operations Manager (OpsMgr)
- Orchestrator
- Service Manager
These licences support access to and management of centrally operated University servers and infrastructure and do not constitute stand‑alone deployment rights for individual departments.
(2) Additional Subscription Products
Departments can purchase MS products for non-perpetual, annual license for each of their Education Qualified users (EQUs) for faculty and staff according to the university’s purchase requisition procedure. For MS products, please refer to the following price list.
