Archival Flows: Fragment, Material, and Memory in/through the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum

Pan, L. (2017). Archival Flows: Fragment, Material, and Memory in/through the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum. Yishu: Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art, 16(4), 14-24.

Abstract

Pan Lu's essay recounts her research residency at Fukuoka Asia Art Museum (FAAM), in which she examined photographic documentation made by the museum’s curators during their early and extensive research trips throughout Asia. She questions how these photographic documentations may have produced and framed the visual history of the institution since the 1970s.
