The 2026 Hong Kong Polytechnic University Young Historian Competition has officially launched. The theme for this year is Learning Through Play, Exploring Chinese History. This competition aims to provide students with diverse and enriching learning experiences under the guidance of esteemed experts. By immersing themselves in various aspects of Chinese history and culture, including cognitive exploration, experiential learning, and educational engagement, the competition seeks to foster a deep interest and cultivate young talents. Furthermore, this event provides a valuable platform for students to explore Chinese history and culture, facilitating their understanding and appreciation of this rich heritage. It also brings together young students and educators who share a profound interest in Chinese history and culture, encouraging collaboration and the exchange of knowledge. The briefing session moderated by Prof. Bin Chen and Dr Raymond Kwok was held on 23 May and High school teachers and students from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and overseas attended this briefing session. The deadline for registration is 30 June 2026.
