A Night to Remember: ENGL & DEAA Joint Reunion Dinner 2026

On the evening of 6 March 2026, ENGL and the Department of English Alumni Association (DEAA) held a joint reunion dinner, giving alumni from various graduation years the chance to reconnect with ENGL’s academic staff and current students. Approximately 80 attendees enjoyed a night of meaningful interactions and memorable moments, fostering connection and engagement.

A key highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2025 Departmental Outstanding Alumni Award. Two recipients, Dr Frederick Cheung and Dr Christina Leung, shared their inspiring stories and professional experiences after receiving their awards. Special thanks to Ms Zelia Wong, an Outstanding Young Alumni Awardee of PolyU Faculty of Humanities 2025, for her feature talk on her journey from a language graduate to a professional MC.

It was a joyful evening to remember, especially as alumni from different generations reunited, rekindled old friendships, and created new memories.
