ENGL to Offer New Online Taught Postgraduate Programme – Master of Health Communication

Highlights

ENGL will be offering a new taught postgraduate programme – Master of Health Communication (MHC) in the September 2022 academic year*. The programme will be in part-time online mode and is the first programme of its kind in FH.

The MHC programme will address the unique challenges facing healthcare and health policy from the viewpoint of effective communication dissemination, bringing together linguistics, psychology, health informatics and advances in computer science to create a strong interdisciplinary focus on health and communication. It will allow students to gain a thorough and in-depth knowledge of important aspects of health policy and governance, as well as communicating effectively with diverse healthcare stakeholders across different health contexts.

The MHC programme is unique because it concentrates on the diverse role communication plays in management, leadership and interprofessional relations. Prof. Bernadette Watson, Interim Head of ENGL and Programme Leader of MHC said, “Specifically developed for practitioners in Asia, the programme will provide students with the diverse practical knowledge and skills that are critical to healthcare management.”
