PolyU Business School successfully hosted its latest FB Don × CEO Luncheon on 19 August 2026, gathering academic experts and industry leaders for a compelling discussion on how genetic predisposition and early-life environments influence professional career trajectories in business and accounting.

The event opened with welcome remarks by Ir Prof. T.C. Edwin CHENG, Dean of PolyU Business School, followed by a presentation from Prof. Colin ZENG, Associate Professor in the School of Accounting and Finance, titled “Gene, Education, and Accounting Career Choice”. Following the presentation, Prof. Jimmy JIN, Associate Dean (External Relations and Development) of PolyU Business School, moderated an interactive Q&A session.

The luncheon generated an engaging exchange among participants, who shared perspectives on talent pipelines, workforce development, and how early-life environmental factors can inform modern human capital strategies.
