Nine PolyU Business School Members Rank among World’s Top 2% Most-cited Scientists 2026

Nine members of PolyU Business School (PBS) are among the world’s top 100,000 scientists by citation (with and without self-citations) or a percentile rank of 2% or above in their disciplines. Seven members among the Nine are current PBS members from the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies and the Department of Management and Marketing. Ir Prof. T.C. Edwin Cheng, Prof. Eric W.T. Ngai, Prof. Michael Harris Bond, Prof. Kee-hung Mike Lai, and Prof. Shuaian Hans Wang have been listed as the world’s top 2% for seven consecutive years. Tracking millions of scientists worldwide, the study has identified about 243,949 scientists across 20 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields, among whom 272 are PolyU academics.

The database contains the career-long data based on 1 August 2026 snapshot from Scopus, updated to end of citation year 2025.
