Background
Organized by the Faculty of Business, the Competition provides an opportunity for participants to analyse challenges and develop solutions for a real-life business case.
The Competition aims to enhance the business acumen and global perspectives of students by bridging academic theories with real-world business practices.
Eligibility
Application

Each team member should submit an individual registration by completing this online form by 23:59 pm on 2 April 2026. If any team member fails to submit an individual registration by the specified deadline, he/she will not be qualified for the Competition.

A maximum of eight teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Competition Format
The competition is comprised of two rounds.
First Round

Teams will be informed of their designated preparation time slots in advance.

Teams will receive the business case at the designated time slot and will be given three hours to develop a solution for the business case and prepare their presentations.

Presentations will be judged by a panel of FB academic staff members. The judges will select the teams to advance to the Final Round, which will take place in the afternoon.
Final Round

Finalist teams that advance to the Final Round will present their solutions again to the judging panel.

The champion team will represent PolyU in the PolyU Business School Case Competition 2026, competing against other local universities on 6 June 2026.

Terms and Conditions

Contestants are not allowed to change their team composition during the Competition.

Contestants agree to be bound by the Competition rules and follow FB’s instructions at all times. Teams or team members who fail to comply with the Competition rules will be disqualified.

If disputes occur, FB’s decision shall be final.

Contestants should consult FB immediately if they have any doubts about the rules.
