Prof. Liu Yi is the largest shareholder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Gameone Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong listed company principally engaged in online and mobile game development, operation and publishing, internet security technology services, and big data analysis services. Under his leadership, Gameone entered the Chinese Mainland market in 2022, establishing a R&D centre in Hangzhou. The company was subsequently accredited as a Hangzhou Municipal Headquarters Enterprise from 2023 to 2025. The company was accredited as a National High‑Tech Enterprise and Software Enterprise in 2025.

Prof. Liu has driven continuous innovation in business models and technology across the Group, focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence, internet security, big data analytics, and digital entertainment. Furthermore, Prof. Liu actively promotes cross-border business collaboration between the US and Hong Kong to pool resources and exchange talent. At the same time, he fulfils corporate social responsibility by supporting youth innovation and technology education initiatives. In August 2020, Prof. Liu was accredited as a Class B High‑Level Talent of Yuhang District, Hangzhou. In December 2023, Prof. Liu was accredited as a Class D High‑Level Talent of Hangzhou. Prof. Liu is a standing member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Hangzhou Linping District, vice president of the Macao‑Hangzhou Friendship Association, vice chairman of the Hangzhou Linping District Federation of Overseas Chinese, and vice chairman of the Hangzhou Linping District Western Returned Scholars Association.
