Mr MAN Lim Chung

Film Production Designer, Costume Director, Film Director, Filmmaker

Mr Man has been working in the film industry since he graduated from PolyU’s School of Design with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design in 1991. A highly regarded production designer and art director, he earned his first Best Art Direction award from the Hong Kong Film Award (HKFA) in 2000 with the film Tempting Heart. Since then, he has won three Best Costume Design awards and one Best Art Direction award from the HKFA, while being nominated multiple times in various world-class film awards and festivals.

In addition to movies, Mr Man is committed to other artistic and creative works in both Mainland China and Taiwan, including art direction of album covers, concert styling, performing arts, commercials and spatial design. He is currently Chairman of the Hong Kong Film Arts Association (2021-2023), an organisation dedicated to promoting the status of art and creative workers within the local film industry. In 2020, he made his directorial debut with Keep Rolling, a documentary about the renowned Hong Kong film director Ann Hui. In 2021, he held his first photography exhibition titled [Side] at SoHo Friends Studio.

Mr Manix Wong Ping Tao

Mr Wong had his mind set on becoming a fashion designer at the age of 16. His dream came true when he graduated from the School of Design with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design in 1994.

After winning first place in the Hong Kong qualifier contest of the Smirnoff International Fashion Awards, he was shortlisted in the final held in Brazil with the legendary John Galliano being the judge. Mr Wong beat competitors from around the world and won the second prize.

In 1994, he was invited by Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design to take a master’s programme in menswear design. Soon after moving to Paris, he launched his own brand LACLOS in 2004 and won a string of awards, including the Paris Capitale de la Création award, the Premium Young Designers Award in Berlin, Grand Prix Créateur de Dinard in France, and made it on to the list of 40 Under 40 in Hong Kong.

Once serving in the Fashion Advisory Committee of HKTDC, Mr Wong founded MPTW International Consultancy to promote the design industry in Hong Kong and France. His key clients include Maison & Objet, Prêt-à-Porter Paris, Premiere Classes, Who’s Next, Li & Fung, and Log-on.

He has recently launched an online boutique, SIP, which blends his passions for both fashion and interior design in a new and creative way.

Mr YEUNG Siu Hong Steve

Co-founder, InnoSphere Limited

Mr Yeung, a co-founder of the product development firm InnoSphere, specialises in design solutions that help OBM clients address critical challenges within their organisations, and formulate strategies to break into overseas markets. His clients range from blue-chip companies and government departments, to academic institutes and start-ups. So far, his projects have won over 30 local and international design awards. 

As the President of the Industrial Designers Society of Hong Kong (IDSHK) between 2015 and 2018, Mr Yeung spearheaded various professional seminars, workshops, and exhibitions. He is dedicated to advocating the value of good industrial designs and the professionalism of industrial designers in business, industrial and academic spheres, both locally and overseas.

With the vision of a better society, InnoSphere invented the Maskeeper in early 2020, a patented business card-sized face mask storage case that solves the unmet daily needs of Hong Kong people amid COVID-19. This product achieved great commercial success and garnered much media attention, winning nine international design awards. It is a case in point that proves the value of design thinking. 

Mr Yeung earned his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from PolyU, and a master’s degree in Automotive Design from Coventry University in the U.K. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Mr James O Hing-pong

Head of Marketing and Advertising, GOGOX

Mr O is a co-founder and the Head of Marketing and Advertising of GOGOX. He oversees GOGOX’s brand management, marketing strategies and promotional activities.

Throughout the years, Mr O has successfully elevated GOGOX’s brand awareness and established its brand identity with various creative marketing activities. He has also designed GOGOX’s user-friendly app interface, providing clients with efficient and easy-to-use delivery services. 

Before starting GOGOX, Mr O worked in several international advertising agencies, including McCann Worldgroup, Leo Burnett, DDB, and Ogilvy & Mather. With his extensive experience in the industry, he took the lead in a number of award-winning campaigns.

Mr O completed a bachelor’s degree in Advertising Design with first-class honours at PolyU.

Mr Chan Shing Hin, Keith

Interior Designer and Design Columnist, Hintegro Limited

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Design (Environmental and Interior Design) (2004)

Mr Chan is the founder of Hintegro, an interior design studio with residential and commercial projects across Hong Kong, London and Los Angeles. After graduating from PolyU’s School of Design with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Interior Design in 2004, Mr Chan launched his career by joining Jason Caroline Design. He then went on to found Hintegro in 2009.

Apart from his design practice, Mr Chan endeavours to bring positive impact to the industry and society with his professional knowledge. To foster cultural and business exchanges between Hong Kong and Japan, he has been the Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s guest speaker in many forums related to Japanese designs. Mr Chan also served as an Executive Committee Member of Hong Kong Interior Design Association, and as a Design Advisor for the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association.
 
Mr Chan is keen to nurture local interior design talents. Since 2014, he has been a Visiting Lecturer at PolyU’s School of Design, teaching interior design majors the professional practices and presentation skills. As a cultural enthusiast, he writes regular columns in local media on the subjects of design, architecture and lifestyle, instilling design awareness and cultural literacy among the general public. His writing can be found in ELLE, ET Net, MenClub, and other publications.
ZENG Jingqiang

Mr Zeng graduated from PolyU with a master’s degree in Multimedia and Entertainment Technology. He is also an outstanding alumnus of Shenzhen University’s School of Media and Communication.

In 2015, he founded Shenzhen People Strong High-tech Company Limited, a social enterprise that focuses on assistive technologies for the elderly. An entrepreneurship tutor at Shenzhen University, Mr Zeng made it on to the list of Forbes 30 Under 30, Hurun China Under 30s To Watch 2020, and has been one of the APEC Innovators. He also won the Education and Teaching Achievement Award from the Department of Education of Guangdong Province.
