Biography

Dr Jinpeng Tian received his PhDs in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering in 2021 and 2022 from Beijing Institute of Technology and Swinburne University of Technology, respectively. From 2023 to 2024, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He previously held the role of Teli Postdoctoral Fellow at the Beijing Institute of Technology from 2021 to 2023.

Dr Tian’s research focuses on the management of energy storage systems, particularly rechargeable batteries. He has published over 30 papers as either the first or corresponding author in top-tier journals, including Joule and Nature Communications. His publications have been cited over 5000 times, including 11 ESI highly cited papers. He has been the PI of three research projects funded by government agencies and a collaborator on another three projects. Dr Tian was ranked among the "World's Top 2% of Scientists" by Stanford University and Elsevier. He also received the “Fellowship of China National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents” from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and the "Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award" from the China Electrotechnical Society.
