Biography

Dr. Zilin Li serves as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He earned his BEng from China Agricultural University in 2011, an MEng from South China University of Technology in 2017, and a PhD from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2022, all in electrical engineering.

From 2011 to 2014, Dr. Li worked as an engineer at a state-owned power supply company in Jiangxi Province, gaining practical experience in power systems. After completing his PhD, he joined PolyU as a Postdoctoral Fellow from May 2022 to February 2025, funded by the Research Talent Hub (RTH) program. During this time, he contributed proactively to two Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) projects focused on autonomous vehicles and electric vehicle charging networks. In March 2025, Dr. Li was appointed Research Assistant Professor at PolyU.
