The CNERC is committed to engaging talents in research. We provide various fellowship and job opportunities.

Our CNERC offers various opportunities to high calibre graduates to carry out high level research study for 3 years, including:
1. Hong Kong PhD Fellowship
2. CNERC PhD Studentship
Application will be considered throughout the year.

 

Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme
Established by the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong in 2009, the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) aims at attracting the best and brightest students in the world to pursue their PhD studies in Hong Kong's universities.

CNERC invites expressions of interest from graduates, irrespective of country of origin and ethnic background, with evidence of academic excellence, research ability and potential, and good communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities for full-time PhD study in Hong Kong within the HKPFS. CNERC PhD Studentship
In addition to the HKPFS, with funding support from PolyU and ITC, our CNERC offers CNERC PhD Studentship to let students to pursuit research in modern steel construction technology.

CNERC Postdoctoral Fellowship
Qualifications and Requirements of the Fellowship Candidate:

Candidates must have been conferred/obtained the PhD degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution no more than five (calendar) years before the submission date of the application or are expected to obtain the PhD degree within the first six months from the submission date of the application.

Priority will be given to candidates:

With superior research performance;
Whose proposed research topic is associated with the subject of their PhD study;
Whose research area is within the area of expertise of the PI; and
Whose research area is in line with the research focus of our CNERC.

Salary and Duration of the Postdoctoral Fellowship:
A monthly salary of at least HK$26,000 (subject to review) initially for one year with possibility to further renewal; and
MPF contribution.

CNERC Research Fellowship
Qualifications and Requirements: Candidates are expected to have a Master’s degree or a good honours degree with at least 1 year of research / relevant work experience.

Duration of the Research Fellowship: 3 to 24 months
