85A Alumni Tourcation – A Fitness Journey Starts!

On 19 November 2022, over 60 alumni joined the campus tour “85A Alumni Tourcation – A Fitness Journey Starts!”. They had a great trip home with their families and friends by visiting the Block X Sports Centre as well as different campus spots. The participants were greeted at the Alumni Atrium by Ms Wanze Li, Interim Director of Alumni Affairs, and Ms Betty Simpson, Vice Chairlady of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management Alumni Association (SHTMAA). To begin their tour of athletics and recreation, the group navigated through the southwestern part of their alma mater – everyone had been looking forward to taking pictures at the new PolyU Main Entrance! Heading north afterwards, our alumni arrived at the Block X Sports Centre, where they not only learned about the wide range of amenities in the redeveloped sustainable building, but also reminisced their good old days playing sports on campus. They further felt the University’s vibrancy by going on a southbound tour to Mr and Mrs Chan Chak Fu Building, which adjoins Hotel ICON and houses the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM). Jointly organised by the Alumni Affairs Office (AAO) and SHTMAA, as well as supported by SHTM and the Federation of PolyU Alumni Associations (FHKPUAA), this was the last “85A Alumni Tourcation”. We enjoyed meeting all our long-standing friends along the way! While this series has come to an end, don’t forget that your alma mater always welcomes you back!
