On 17 September 2026, over 50 alumni came together for “Alumni Connect – Kwun Tong”. Set in a greenery-themed restaurant nestled amid Kwun Tong’s bustling commercial district, the gathering provided alumni with an opportunity to enjoy a relaxing lunch while reconnecting with the PolyU community.
We were delighted to welcome Dr Gail Chang, Core Member of the Research Institute for Future Food and Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at PolyU, as our guest. Dr Chang introduced the “Happy Mooncake”, which is made using the fungus-based fat replacer AkkMore™. In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, she generously sponsored the mooncakes as lucky draw prizes, adding a festive touch to the gathering.
