On 28 August 2026, the Alumni Affairs Office and the Federation of PolyU Alumni Associations (FHKPUAA) jointly hosted a lunchtime talk titled “Positive Parenting Through Effective Communication and Guidance”. Dr Darron Sun, President of FHKPUAA, attended this thematic talk of “PolyU Alumni Week” in person, joining more than 70 alumni, current and former staff members online and offline to explore practical parenting approaches for working parents.
Mrs Bally Wong, Founder and Chairman of ABC Pathways Group, was invited as the guest speaker. Drawing on real-life examples, she addressed the challenges faced by modern families and analysed the reasons behind the disconnect between parents and children. She also discussed the pressures experienced by today’s youth, helping parents build a personalised “operating system” to strengthen parent-child relationships. During the Q&A session, participants actively raised questions and shared their thoughts, gaining further insights through the exchange.
