On 17 June 2026, the Alumni Affairs Office, in collaboration with the Former Staff Network and PolyU Staff Club, brought together alumni, former staff, and current staff for “An Evening of Making & Sharing: Eco Lamp Workshop and Seasonal Flavours”. The event began with an introduction by alumna Ms Vincy Ng on the latest trends and developments in renewable energy in Hong Kong. Participants then took part in a hands-on workshop, creating their own solar mosaic lamps while learning more about sustainable living in a relaxed and interactive setting. The evening continued with a seasonal dinner, where over 80 participants enjoyed a selection of summer dishes. During the dinner, Mr Yip Wai-kin, a Chinese Medicine Practitioner from the University Health Service, shared practical tips on maintaining health and balance during the summer months. Blending learning, creativity, and well-being, the evening provided an opportunity for PolyU community members to recharge and enjoy quality time together.
