More than 50 ambassadors and outstanding alumni from various disciplines and graduating classes gathered at the Alumni Atrium on 12 April 2026 for the “Ambassadors Reunion”, held as part of PolyU Homecoming 2026. Organised especially for Class Ambassadors and former Student Ambassadors, the event also welcomed mentors and mentees from the University’s ASPIRE Mentorship Programme, creating a vibrant occasion for cross-generational connection and exchange.
The programme began with an inspiring sharing by Ms Zelia Wong, professional emcee and Outstanding Young Alumna of the Faculty of Humanities. Drawing on her personal career journey, Zelia spoke about how she transformed her academic training into a professional emceeing career, serving multinational corporations and non-governmental organisations while remaining actively engaged in cultural arts, social services and initiatives that support PolyU’s development. In appreciation of her meaningful sharing, Ms Yvonne Li, Director of Alumni Affairs of PolyU, presented a souvenir to Zelia on behalf of the University.
Outstanding alumni, who have been serving as mentors in PolyU ASPIRE Mentorship Programme, took part in the lucky draw and presented PolyU souvenirs to the ambassadors, while prize winners shared their cherished moments from university days. The grand prize was presented by Ir Prof. Alfred Sit, Deputy President of Outstanding PolyU Alumni Association.
The event concluded with a lively networking session, where ambassadors, alumni leaders, mentors and mentees enjoyed meaningful conversations and renewed connections. Many participants also stayed on campus afterwards for the other Homecoming activities, making the reunion a memorable highlight of the day.
