On the evening of 13 December 2025, the inauguration ceremony of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Financial Industry Alumni Network (PolyU FIAN) was grandly held in Jinjiang, Fujian. Dr Lam Tai-fai, Chairman of the Council, Professor Jin-Guang Teng, President of PolyU, and other central management team members attended the event. Over 200 PolyU alumni from across Mainland China came to witness the official establishment of PolyU’s first industry-specific alumni network in Mainland China.
At the ceremony, Professor Lu Haitian, Director of Mainland Development, then introduced the background of the Network’s establishment and announced the list of members of the inaugural Executive Committee. Professor Jiannong Cao, Vice President (Education), presented the flag to the Financial Industry Alumni Network, which was received on behalf of the Alumni Network’s Founding President, Ms Zhang Yuxia. Professor Jiannong Cao, Vice President (Education); Professor Lu Haitian, Director of Mainland Development; and Ms Amy Li, Assistant Director of Mainland Development, jointly presented appointment letters to the members of the inaugural Executive Committee.
Guided by the core mission of Serving Alumni, Serving the University, and Serving the Industry, PolyU FIAN will build an efficient platform for financial alumni to exchange insights, pursue cooperation and share resources. Representatives from other PolyU alumni networks across Mainland China attended the ceremony and extended their sincere blessings. The event concluded successfully in a warm and cordial atmosphere.
