  1. Why do I need to update my profile?

    You are encouraged to keep your profile up to date to stay connected with PolyU and receive news about the latest development of the University as well as events, benefits and services offered to the alumni community.

    Upon signing in with your Alumni NetID or social account, you may view and update your personal information, including contact, career, education and interest. Alternatively, you may update your profile by filling in the blank form.

  2. How can I sign in with my Alumni NetID?

    If you are signing in for the first time, there are two options:

    With invitation email 
    a. Click the [Update My Profile] button in the email.  You will be directed to the sign in page.
    b. Click the [Sign in with Alumni NetID] button.
    c. Sign in with your Alumni NetID and NetPassword.
    d. Your details will be shown, and you may proceed to update your record.

    Visit the Sign in page 
    a. Click the [Sign in with Alumni NetID] button.
    b. Sign in with your Alumni NetID and NetPassword.
    c. You will receive a verification email.
    d. Upon clicking the activation link in the verification email, you will be directed to the sign in page.  
    e. Your Alumni NetID will be pre-filled. Complete the process by entering your NetPassword. Then you may proceed to update your profile.  

    Thereafter, you can use your Alumni NetID to sign in and update your profile from time to time.

     
  3. How can I sign in with my social account?

    If you are signing in for the first time, there are two options:

    With invitation email
    a. Click the [Update My Profile] button in the email. You will be directed to the sign in page.
    b. Select and click a social account icon.
    c. Follow the instructions to fill in your personal information for validating your alumni identity. You will then be guided to sign in your social account.
    d. Your details will be shown, and you may proceed to update your record. 
    e. If you would like to link with another social account, go to the [Manage Sign in] page.
    f. Thereafter, you can use your social account(s) to sign in and update your profile from time to time.

    Visit the Sign in page 
    a. Select and click a social account icon on the Sign in page.
    b. You will be asked whether you have an Alumni NetID.   

    If YES, please sign in with your Alumni NetID first, then go to the [Manage Sign in] page and link to your social account(s). Thereafter, you can use your social account or Alumni NetID to sign in and update your profile from time to time.

    If NO, please fill in the blank form.

     

  4. In what circumstances should I use the blank form option?

    If you do not have an Alumni NetID or social account, you may use the blank form to update your profile.  Without signing in, your personal records cannot be reviewed.

     

  5. What if I have not received the invitation email/ verification email (mentioned in Q3 and Q4)?

    Please check the spam/ junk folder just in case the email got delivered there.  For enquiry or assistance, please send email to alumni@polyu.edu.hk and provide your full name, student ID, year of graduation and contact no. We will come back to you soon.

     

  6. What if I do not have an Alumni NetID?

    Please visit the Alumni NetID Registration page and follow the instructions to complete the registration process. Upon successful registration and receipt of your Alumni NetID, you can use it to sign in after 3 working days.

     

  7. What if I have forgotten my NetPassword?

    Please visit the Alumni NetPassword Reset page and follow the instructions to complete the password reset process.

     

  8. Which web browser should I use to access the page?

    Up-to-date versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari or Microsoft Edge is recommended to improve your browsing experience.

     

  9. In addition to PC/ web browser, can I use other device such as mobile phone or tablet to update my profile?

    You can use mobile phone or tablet with iOS or Android OS to access the page.

     

  10. Why is the page taking a long time to load?

    A large number of alumni are updating their profiles.  As a result, you may experience occasional long loading time.  We are monitoring the system performance to ensure adequate computer resources are allocated.
