Summary

The Alumni Reading Club and Alumni Culture and Heritage Tours Club warmly invite you to embark on a fascinating journey that bridges AI-driven visions of the future with the rich legacy of Hakka cultural heritage.

As artificial intelligence reshapes our future, cultural heritage helps us reflect on where we come from. This October, we have specially curated three inspiring activities that will take alumni from the future imagined through science fiction, to the rich heritage of the Hakka community in the Greater Bay Area, and further into a hands-on exploration of an intangible cultural heritage, experiencing the timeless appeal of traditional craftsmanship.

(A) Meet the Author — Chen Qiufan

Renowned Chinese science fiction writer Chen Qiufan will share the inspiration behind the bestselling AI 2041: Ten Visions for Our Future, exploring how artificial intelligence may influence social development and shape the world of tomorrow. The event will include an author talk, Q&A session and book signing.
