Mr Wong is Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Health Technology and Informatics at PolyU. A seasoned clinical laboratory and public healthcare professional, he brings 40 years of experience from the Hospital Authority (HA), where he held leadership roles across multiple clusters, central services such as the Toxicology Reference Laboratory, and Head Office. He also took on senior operational responsibilities and commissioned a flagship project of the Hong Kong Children’s Hospital (HKCH) before retiring as Department Manager in 2024. During his tenure, he led HKCH to achieve ISO 15189 accreditation, supported the integration of the Department of Health Clinical Genetic Service, and contributed to the advancement of genetic and genomic laboratory services across the territory. Mr Wong has long been deeply committed to professional education and training. He has provided expert input into Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) curricula in areas including clinical chemistry, laboratory management, accreditation, leadership and quality systems, risk management, and internal auditing, and served as programme leader for the Senior Medical Technologist training curriculum. Beyond the HA, he is an experienced technical assessor for the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme and has actively served the MLT Board in roles spanning registration, examinations, and education. Following his retirement, Mr Wong joined PolyU as Assistant Professor of Practice in Health Technology and Informatics, where he continues to contribute to the development of the MLT profession.

Mr Hung is a Senior Radiation Therapist specialising in dosimetry at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. He was conferred as a Fellow of The Hong Kong College of Radiographers and Radiation Therapists (Medical Dosimetry) in 2020. With 17 years of dedicated clinical experience in radiation therapy, he has developed extensive expertise in advanced treatment planning and patient-centred healthcare. Mr Hung’s professional interests focus on radiotherapy dosimetry and radiobiology research, contributing to the development of safer and more effective precision cancer treatments. His work has earned international recognition, with several award-winning presentations at major international radiation oncology congresses. In 2024, he became the first radiation therapist in Hong Kong to be elected a full member of the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society, reflecting the growing international recognition of his research achievements. His contributions to the field of dosimetry have also been recognised locally. He received the Hong Kong East Cluster Young Achievers Award in 2024, and the Hospital Authority Young Achievers Award in 2025.
