Summary

The School of Accounting and Finance at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is going to host the 2026 PolyU Accounting Research Conference on 3 - 4 December 2026 at M1603 on PolyU Campus.

As a flagship event of the School of Accounting and Finance, the conference aims to provide a platform for rising scholars around the world to present their unpublished research papers. A half-day roundtable symposium for all conference presenters/ discussants will be held for PolyU faculty members on 3 December before the main conference on 4 December.

Each paper presentation was followed by a discussion led by a world-renowned scholar. This year, we are honoured to have invited the following professors as our discussants (in alphabetical order):

  • Shane Dikolli (Bank of America Professor of Business Administration, University of Virginia)
  • Chan Li (C.A. Scupin Professor; Koch Professor in Business Economics, University of Kansas)
  • Lou Yun (Associate Professor of Accounting; Associate Dean (Research), Singapore Management University)
  • Xiaoli Tian (Associate Professor, Georgetown University)
  • Anastasia A. Zakolyukina (Assistant Professor of Finance, Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College)

Guest Registration

Registration for the conference begins on 3 November 2026. Due to limited capacity, registration was accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration fee is HKD2400 (equivalent roughly to USD300), which covers tea breaks, lunch, and dinner. Participants are responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
