Academic Staff

AU joined Cathay Pacific Airways in 1981 and retired in 2015 as the Head of Engineering Quality Services. He is a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer and worked in various engineering management positions to supervise Line Maintenance, Technical Services of Powerplant, Quality Services and managed engineering department of Air Hong Kong.

AU involved in numerous aircraft engineering related safety investigations, and is very experienced in human factor, maintenance error management. He was in charge of audit program implementations and enforced organization standards to meet audits by various governing bodies.

AU participates as speaker in a number of aviation industrial trainings, and in university post graduate program. He is a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers Aircraft Division and served as committee member of the Aircraft Division. AU is currently the Quality Manager of a HKCAD approved Design Organization and Production Organization.
