Short Description
Dr Zhuoye ZHANG is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering (AAE) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Prior to this, he served as a Research Associate at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He received his BEng in Transportation Engineering from Tongji University, his MSc in Transportation Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and his PhD in Industrial Engineering from HKU. Dr Zhang’s research covers a wide range of fundamental and emerging issues in transportation, including urban air mobility; the management of shared, automated, and electrified mobility systems; multimodal transportation system modelling and optimization; and transportation network modelling and analysis. His research has been published in world-leading journals and conferences in the field, e.g., Transportation Research Part A/B/C/E, International Symposium of Transportation and Traffic Theory (ISTTT). He served as a visiting student at University College London in 2019, and at the University of Michigan in 2024, respectively.
