Biography

The intent was always to become a civil airline pilot, a B.Sc from The University of Liverpool (UK) in Chemistry was a step on the way.  Initially trained as a computer programmer, (app developer) for a large UK multi-national using IBM PL1 language.

Pilot training (ATPL) at Oxford Air Training School (OATS) (UK). 

A variety of employment as Light aircraft instructor on SE (Single Engine), ME (Multi Engine), Night and instrument.   This was then followed by air taxi pilot, regional turbo prop and airline flying with Britannia Airways in the UK, operating B737 and B767 aircraft on worldwide routes.

Training was the common theme to all the aviation activities, from Light aircraft, airline training as Line Training Captain, Type Rating Examiner (TRE) and Type Rating Instructor.

Employed as A320 SFI at Kuala Lumpur at AACE (Asian Aviation Centre of Excellence), moving to Hong Kong in 2013 with CAE as SFI for A320 and A330, finishing as Head of Training.

Chris is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society
