Academic Subjects (5-day)

Highlights

 

Participants can take a 5-day academic subject (credit-bearing or non-credit-bearing) as part of the PolyU Summer Institute to test their academic abilities in a university setting. The subject will run from 3 to 7 August 2026 (Monday to Friday), offering participants university level lectures and an understanding of the latest industrial trends in the respective discipline. Additionally, they will gain first-hand insights into university-level expectations and resources, perfect for participants transitioning from secondary to tertiary education.

  • In-class quizzes/ assignments and attendance will be taken into consideration for the final assessment. You are strongly advised to attend all classes.
  • A certificate of attendance will be awarded upon completion of the subject with 80% of attendance.
  • Credit-bearing students will also receive a transcript of studies upon completion of the subject.

 

Credit Transfer

  • Credit-bearing students can apply for credit transfer of the subject taken upon admission to PolyU.
