Overview
The PolyU Summer Institute 2026 is your gateway to explore an immersive university experience at PolyU. You will engage in a series of fun activities led by PolyU student leaders and delve into the vibrant campus life at PolyU.
By being part of the Summer Institute, students will: 
- Engage in day-long attachment programmes offered by PolyU faculties and schools at their choice
- Experience of the residential hall life
- Attend mini-lectures on Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (AIDA), and Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IE), led by Faculty members
- Join a company visit to gain real-world industry insights
- Foster cultural exchange with students from Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland, and overseas
- Experience PolyU’s interactive teaching and learning through an academic subject
- Gain first-hand insight for making informed choices for future studies
The Summer Institute is designed for Secondary 4 and Secondary 5 students, or equivalent, scheduled in the summer holiday of 2026.

Visiting PolyU gave me the opportunity to visit Asia for the first time, which, as a kid from Greece, I found extraordinarily different and fascinating. I met locals who taught me basic Cantonese phrases, and ate Chinese food for five days straight. The program itself was also productive, especially the 3D printing activity, which I loved. All in all, it is safe to say that this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I am looking forward to exploring Asia further in the future.

The PolyU residential camp was an amazing opportunity to experience authentic university life and gain insights into our chosen industry. Though it lasted only a few days, it was more than just a camp—it was about bonding with passionate students from around the world, becoming independent, and taking responsibility for our futures. I would say that this residential camp was really fun and well-organised, and it gave me valuable experiences. I was able to understand and experience life as a university student by living in student hall and socialising with my roommates and others. Regarding the activities, they were very informative, especially the mini lectures, which were impressively inspiring. Additionally, I have realised that I have more career options than I previously thought.

The PolyU residential trip certainly left me with a fascinating experience of immersive campus life. From the unfamiliarity of traveling alone to Hong Kong on the first day, to the friendships I made with international participants, the summer institute was far beyond my greatest expectations.
