- Introduce students to ArcGIS Online for creating interactive web maps and apps by using CSDI data.
- Teach effective data import, symbolisation, and presentation techniques.
- Guide students in designing and publishing a professional tourist map.
Upon completion of the subject, students will be able to:
- Explore ArcGIS Online and navigate its interface.
- Connect to and upload spatial data layers to ArcGIS Online.
- Publish data from ArcGIS Pro to ArcGIS Online.
- Apply appropriate symbology and configure pop-ups to enhance map readability and user engagement.
- Build and configure tables and forms within the web map environment.
- Create and customise an Instant App using ArcGIS Online.
- Ensure the overall design and functionality of the map and app are professional, polished, and user-friendly.
- Share their completed web map and dashboard by providing accessible URLs to instructors or the public
