Summary
Join PolyU Design and Times Higher Education for this exclusive webinar designed for high school counsellors and careers advisors.
Design is a multidisciplinary field that equips students with the analytical, creative, and problem‑solving capabilities needed to address complex challenges in an increasingly interconnected world. For students who demonstrate unconventional thinking and strong creative potential, design offers a rigorous yet flexible academic pathway that encourages inquiry, systems thinking, and the ability to translate ideas into impactful solutions.
Hong Kong provides an exceptional setting for such learning. As an international city with direct access to both global markets and the Chinese innovation ecosystem, it offers students a dynamic, multicultural environment enriched by diverse perspectives, emerging industries, and extensive opportunities for engagement.
This webinar will be hosted by our Associate Dean (Academic Programmes), who oversees studies from undergraduate to research postgraduate degrees and brings an academic career spanning three continents. He will introduce The Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s BA (Hons) Scheme in Design, Hong Kong’s premier design programme that nurtures “innovative forward‑thinking designers” across one of Asia’s most comprehensive portfolios of design specialisms.
Target audience: This webinar is for high school counsellors who work with creative students and provide university and career guidance. Join to learn about PolyU Design’s strengths, Hong Kong’s unique and safe learning environment, and how to support talented students in accessing one of Asia’s top‑ranked design programmes.
