Summary
In an era of rapid AI advancement, film and media production is undergoing structural transformation. This seminar will examine key production domains—including feature films, TV series and short-form video, advertising, and animation—analysing the common challenges, risks, and implementation hurdles the industry faces when adopting AI, along with practical solutions and
recommended approaches. Through a range of real-world case studies, we will also discuss how the next generation of producers can position themselves and build the essential skills and working methods needed to stay competitive and creative in this evolving landscape.

Keynote Speaker
Jacky Chu
Founder and Director, Taproot Studio Limited
Chu Hon Wai (Jacky) has many years of production experience across multiple sectors. He has taken on key roles in numerous live-action and animated film and television projects, including Director, Producer, Screenwriter, Post-production Supervisor, and Post-production Coordinator. He has also participated in over 200 advertising, music video, and multimedia productions, including concert visual design and LED wall animation design. In recent years, Jacky has been actively involved in industry affairs. He serves as Vice President of the Association of Motion Picture Post Production Professionals (AMP4) in Hong Kong, and represents the association as a member of the Hong Kong Federation of Film Workers and the Hong Kong Film Awards working group. With the rapid development of AI technologies, Jacky has been collaborating with leading AI companies such as Google and Kling, actively promoting the integration of AIGC into film and animation production.
