Summary

The digital game industry has in the past years actively integrated various data-driven methods into its core processes. What is not often highlighted is the values and assumptions behind the data-driven development practices. By showcasing how game makers both reproduce and challenge mainstream data imaginaries, this talk shows how game data work contributes to creating new working cultures, emotional labour and conflicting forms of agency.

  • All PolyU PhD students and SD staff are welcome. No registration is required. Seating is available on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
