Learning Italian with Fun (Level I)

This is an introductory course in Italian designed for people who have no knowledge or very little knowledge of Italian. The course mainly focuses on how to communicate in simple Italian about daily life, learning some basic Italian vocabulary and expressions while enjoying interactive activities, games, and fun quizzes. The course aims at emphasizing learning through class interaction and practices, giving students an opportunity to know more about Italian habits and culture (traditions, sports, geography etc). It also provides extensive pronunciation and grammar tips. The program will cover 4 topics (2 lessons dedicated to each topic).
Every topic will be discovered through:
- Brainstorming with useful vocabulary and expressions
- Listening and/or videos
- Grammar tips
- Practice with fun and interactive games
- Cultural session

Ms. Francesca Coppeta

Ms. Coppeta holds a master’s degree in foreign Languages and Literatures from University of Napoli "L'Orientale" (Italy). She holds a master’s in international management from ICN Business School of Nancy (France) and is a certified Teacher of Italian as a Foreign Language (CEDILS certificate with Distinction) by the University of Venice Ca' Foscari (Italy). Ms. Coppeta has been teaching Italian language and culture in Hong Kong for about fifteen years. She is currently a teacher at Dante Alighieri Society and a part-time Lecturer at Hang Seng University. She has also worked as a part-time interpreter and translator for the Hong Kong Judiciary.
